Yakult Employees Credit Cooperative or YECC was organized and established in the early months of 1989. The establishment of YECC as a cooperative was formalized through a registration with Department of Agrarian Reform on April 3, 1990 with registration number R-IV-FF-942. With the enactment of R. A. 6938 known as the Cooperative Code of 1990, it was registered with Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) on August 15, 1995 with registration number CN-625-014. Further, with the enactment of the new Cooperative Code of 2008 or the R. A. 9520, it was again re-registered under the new law with CIN number 0105163112 dated November 19, 2009. YECC is registered with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) with Tax Identification Number (TIN) 004-456-728-000. It has granted by the BIR Tax Exemption Certificate on January 4, 2011 with number COOP-00017-01-88-RR-06-RDO-33. The authorized share capital of YECC as of June 30, 2015 is 5,250,000 shares for common or P 52,500,000.00 and 1,750,000 shares for preferred or P 17,500,000.00. The paid up share capital as of June 30, 2015 for common and preferred shares is P 35,743,650.00 and P 141,000.00, respectively.
